Stance on Charter Schools

I believe families deserve high-quality public education options- and that includes ensuring our neighborhood schools are fully funded and supported. Charter schools can sometimes offer innovative approaches, but as a board member, my priority is making sure all schools receiving public dollars are held to the same standards of transparency, accountability, and equitable access. I want to make sure we’re not siphoning resources away from the students who need them most in traditional public schools, especially in areas like special education and student support services.
