My Story,

My Why

Holly - no background.png

I’m a parent, a public school advocate, and a community member who’s tired of watching real needs get ignored while time is wasted on manufactured outrage. I want to help bring the focus back to kids. To classrooms. To the kind of decisions that make schools stronger, not polarized.

One of my children is in universal pre-K. The other is in special education. I’ve spent more time than I ever expected learning how school systems work - not just as a parent, but as someone fighting for services, supports, and answers that should’ve been easier to find.

I’ve been the mom sending follow-up emails. I’ve sat in IEP meetings, asked hard questions, and tried to hold it together when systems fell short. I’ve also been the mom cheering from the sidelines when a teacher went the extra mile, or when a classroom felt like a true community. I know the challenges our educators face. I know the dedication so many of them bring into their work every day.

I’m running for school board because I believe we need more people in leadership who are focused on what really matters: students, teachers, and learning. Our district is full of smart, curious kids and hardworking educators - but too often, the conversation gets hijacked by national culture wars and political grandstanding. I’m not here for that. I’m not affiliated with any political party or special interest group.

I want to be a part of a board, a team, that helps usher in excellence with well-prepared students and properly compensated educators.

What I Stand For

Equity in Education

Every student - regardless of ability, background, or zip code - deserves the resources and support they need to succeed.

Fully-Funded Special Education

Special education should never be an afterthought. I stand for trained staff, adequate resources, and inclusive classrooms where all learners are supported.

Support for Teachers & Staff

Great schools need great educators. I support fair compensation, safe working conditions, and a culture that values teachers’ voices, not punishes them.

Fact-Based, Inclusive Curriculum

Students deserve an education rooted in truth, not politics. I stand for teaching accurate, age-appropriate history and preserving access to diverse materials.

Community-Focused, Nonpartisan Leadership

I’m here to serve kids and families - not political agendas. I believe in transparent, practical leadership that puts students first and listens to the community.
